Lisa A. Block, DMD, MS

Before Dr. Block settled here in Gig Harbor, she received her Doctor of Dental Medicine from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.  She then completed her General Practice Dental Residency at the University Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida, and finally her Pediatric Dental Residency at the Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri in 1991.

As a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist, Dr. Block specializes and is dedicated to the oral health of children.  She has been specifically trained to treat children’s developing teeth, and to understand the unique dental problems that children face such as cavities and gum problems.  She understands the complexities of how teeth grow and develop and can keep an eye out for any potential problems that may arise.  She knows that some children may feel frightened when visiting the dentist and knows just how to make them feel at ease and comfortable, building a strong and happy relationship between herself and the child as well as their families.

In her professional career, Dr. Lisa Block is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and a member of the Pierre Fauchard Academy, the recipient of the 2013 Early Learning Champion Award, Pierce County, Washington, a Fellow of the American College of Dentists and a Fellow of the International College of Dentists.

We are a preferred provider for Washington Dental Service, Delta Dental, United Concordia, Regence, Premera, Blue Cross-Blue Shield, and MetLife. We will do everything we can to help you maximize your insurance benefits. As a courtesy to our patients, our office will submit claims to your insurance company. You are responsible for your account and for any balance not covered by your insurance. Contact your insurance carrier for specific information about coverage.
